There are issues that have been open for years, requesting to add simple parameters to be cleaned. If maintaining this project is too much, I suggest adding a simple GUI element to allow users to add custom parameters to be cleaned, so that everyone can improve the extension for themselves at least.

There are a lot similar addons, they are all abandoned, some are not even open source. This was the most actively maintained and even recommended by Mozilla. You can use it in combination with Redirector if you don't mind adding rules manually. That seems to be the best compromise for now. ClearURLs didn't receive a commit since July 2025.
Redirector's main dev passed away some time ago, the project has been entrusted to @Gitoffthelawn who was the main contributor, but it is uncertain if development will continue, rules are added manually, so for the time being functionality is intact. There is also a new Redirector which is less mature, but one day it might replace the old one if it's abandoned.

This project is definitely still being „actively“ maintained. 

Right now I’m swamped with work, so there won’t be any updates in February and most likely March either.

From mid-year onwards I’ll have much more time and will begin working through the open issues step by step.
