Removal of legacy Metadata Agents

I don't know if you already know, but Plex announced in December that the "old" Metadata Agent system will be removed in 2026:

We plan to completely remove the legacy agents system from new PMS releases in 2026.

This means that this Metadata Agent will not be something you can install/use in Plex after that point anymore. To still provide the functionality to get metadata from the Shoko Server, this would have to transition to the new Metadata Provider System, as stated in the forum post.

Due to time restrictions, I am unlikely to migrate across to the new system, additionally, as of late I have moved primarily to Jellyfin.

If you do want something to use, the alternative of ShokoRelay developed by @natyusha has started working on their own version, which you can see here: https://github.com/natyusha/ShokoRelay

Last I heard, they had no plans to even support it in the future (now, I guess), so nice to see that there's a new, presumably better plug-in system
