Aggregate and filter temperature sampling to generate a final resultant temperature

Following from the comment.

The suggestion is to:

1. Measure several values of temperature
2. Determine a final value to display on the LCD
3. Hence decouple display and sampling rates
4. Hold the final value on the LCD display until the trigger is held by the user.
