daemon start fails silently if logdir missing #351
Description
This should be a non-issue since a system is in place for automatically creating the log directory, but I discovered that if the log directory is missing, the daemon will fail to start without any explanation. I just don't like having this lurking bug but it's ultra ultra low priority for NGPS.
