Support for PocketCHIP + ESP32 S3 DevKitC

Hi, I´m working on the integration with a PocketCHIP with an ESP32 S3 DevKitC instead of the original CHIP board.
I was able to connect and have full support for the display and the keyboard, and I've added an SD card reader that was not present. I'm struggling a bit with the resistive touchscreen. I made some tests, but with no success, as soon as I attach it, it´s crashing. Two pins for the two axes manage the touch screen, and I´m wondering if I can get any input/example/test/direction.

It's nice to see more people implementing devices. Glad to see you got quite far already.

I tried to find info on the main website (https://docs.getchip.cc/pocketchip) but all the links to github don't seem to point to anything.

Are you sure it's as simple as 2 axes? In general, all other touch screens use an I2C or SPI driver. Additionally, resistive touch is often temperature-sensitive.

It's hard to point to a relevant example if without knowing what kind of hardware it is. All re-usable drivers are here:

The XPT2046 driver is currently the only resistive touch driver in the project that I can refer to. XPT2046 is a SPI device.

If you write a driver based on esp_lcd(_touch) then you can use this as a base for your driver:

Otherwise you have to write it from scratch based on this:

Driver basics:

• start()/stop() is for attaching/detaching the driver (e.g. allocate buffers, create threads)
• startLvgl()/stopLvgl() is for creating the lv_indev objects so that LVGL can use the driver
• you let supportsTouchDriver() return false for now

Hi, thanks for coming back. You can find the schematics at this link. As you can see, there are four pins, XL XR YU YD, and there is no chip, ex. XPT2046, that is managing them.
I´m trying to read the values directly, but when I create the touch and attach it to the display, the polling routine crashes. I will use your suggestions to see if I can move forward. Thanks for now.
