Can't re-install after upgrade to Ubuntu 20.10

After upgrade to Ubuntu 20.10, Boostnote disappeared from the system. On attempting to reinstall the latest .deb package, found that now it has an unmet dependency: gvfs-bin This package has been removed because it's deprecated so it won't be re-added.

I dropped this dependency from boostnote_0.16.1_amd64.deb and it can be installed, and run without any issues.

If you have already attempted to install boostnote, remove it:

sudo apt remove bootsnote

Then, install it without the gvfs-bin dependency:

sudo dpkg --ignore-depends=gvfs-bin -i boostnote_0.16.1_amd64.deb

apt will probably complain about broken dependencies. Resolve by running:

sudo apt install -f

Then, modify the file /var/lib/dpkg/status:

sudo nano /var/lib/dpkg/status

Search the file for 'boostnote' and remove 'gvfs-bin' from its list of dependencies.
