Feature Request - Illuminance damping

Ulanzi TC001 (running AWTrix 3) - constant updates to display brightness when placed near a changing lightsource (e.g. TV).
Describe the solution / feature you'd like
Retain the ability to use automatic brightness feature - but be able to enable a 'brightness damping' feature which would for example take an average of the luminocity detected over the last 10-20s and adjust accordingly. This means you should still get the benefit of auto brightness for day/night room lighting etc. but if the unit is near a TV for example, the brightness won't try to follow what is going on on the TV.
Describe alternatives you've considered
Considered moving TC001 away from TV, but that's where it's best placed for viewing.
