http-API-call for BAT not working

Devices involved:
Model: ESP32 with WS2812-32x8-LED-Matrix
awtrix3 version: 0.98
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
Expected behavior
I can 'START' and 'STOP' the date-display by using the http-API-call for DAT (true or false) => date is diplayed or not!
BUT
when I call the http-API-call for BAT (true or false) the response is also 'OK' but the BAT-app is always displayed, never turned OFF
