You say its a great new player filter but your filtering doesnt even change between strictness in act 2 normal with a bunch of things on the ground lol?.

The vast majority of changes between strictness levels currently occur at higher character levels than wherever you'd be in act 2 normal. It focuses on hiding the minimum amount of items to prevent random items from disappearing due to the game's item limit, and that is much less of a concern in earlier acts and lower difficulties.

Filter levels are a relatively new feature so those might not be as refined as they could be.
Was there a particular area which had so many items that they didn't all appear on the screen?
