The drone firmware is 2.4.8. I connected to the drone and was able to read the drone data such as /ardrone/odometry , /ardrone/imu , /ardrone/navdata . However when I send an empty message to the drone, it does not take off. The same happen when I write to the /cmd_vel topic, nothing happens to the propellers. I was thinking the new firmware 2.4.8 could be the reason for that. I tried to downgrade the firmware using the instructions in (https://www.drone-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3357) and the firmware still did not change. I am using a docker container with ros-indigo.
