v0.5.0 update — May 2026

Closing out a few roadmap items from this release:

Shipped in v0.5.0:

• ✅ Workflow diff tool (workflow.diff) — compares two workflow JSONs and reports nodes added/removed/modified, connection rewires, and settings changes. Works entirely offline.
• ✅ Execution replay (execution.replay) — re-run a single node with synthetic input items without a live n8n instance. Closes the debug loop after execution.explain.
• ✅ Execution timeline (execution.timeline) — per-node timeline table showing start time, duration, items in/out, and errors.
• ✅ Expanded lint rules (10 new) — rate-limit nodes, credential drift, expression staleness, code sandbox, webhook test path, manualTrigger-in-active, DST schedule risk, disabled-but-wired, empty Set, HTTP method/body mismatch.
• ✅ Runtime policy env vars — N8N_MCP_READ_ONLY, N8N_MCP_DISABLED_TOOLS, N8N_MCP_ALLOWED_WORKFLOW_IDS, N8N_MCP_ALLOWED_TAGS for scoped deployments.

Still on the roadmap:
