Issue Details
Install AdGuard VPN on macOS.
Connect to a UK server (the same behavior also occurs with Switzerland servers).
Confirm that the VPN shows connected successfully.
Open Arc Browser (Chromium-based).
Go to https://gemini.google.com/
.
Gemini loads normally.
Google services detect the location as United Kingdom.
Open Safari (same macOS user session).
Go to https://gemini.google.com/
.
Gemini does not load or shows region restriction.
Search on Google for “abmso” or check IP/location detection websites.
In Arc: location appears as UK.
In Safari: location appears as Russia, even though the VPN location is set to UK.
Verify that the public IP shown by AdGuard VPN still indicates UK or Switzerland.

Actual Behavior
Hi team,
I recently purchased AdGuard VPN + Ad Blockers and noticed something unusual.
Even though I am connected to Switzerland and UK servers, some services (such as Google Gemini) indicate that my traffic is coming from Russia. However, when I check my IP address, it shows a location in Switzerland or the UK.
Additionally, I discovered an inconsistency between browsers while connected to the VPN. When using Arc Browser, Google Gemini opens normally and correctly identifies my location as the UK. However, when using Safari, Gemini does not open, and location checks show that the connection appears to be coming from Russia, even though the VPN location is set to the UK.
I also ran a Google search using “abmso,” and the results reflected this same behavior: Arc shows my location as the UK, while Safari shows Russia.
Could you please check whether there may be a routing, DNS, or server-related issue affecting traffic depending on the browser?
Thank you for your support.
