Centos 7 (deprecated)

Note (May 2025)

CentOS 7 is end of life and as such, xSTUDIO build compatibility is no longer provided for this operating system. In particular, note that xSTUDIO now uses Qt6.5 which is not trivial to build/obtain on this Linux distribution. The build notes below are somewhat out-of-date but we include them here for reference just in case there are facilities still using CentOS7 that wish to build xSTUDIO.

Distro installs

sudo yum install -y centos-release-scl
sudo yum install -y devtoolset-9
sudo yum install -y alsa-lib-devel pulseaudio-libs-devel freeglut-devel
sudo yum install -y python3-devel bzip2-devel freetype-devel zlib-devel
sudo yum install -y libuuid-devel

Qt 6.5

Qt SDK must be built from source on CentOS 7. We wish you the very best of luck!

Force use of newer GCC
