AppImage Fails to Pack Due to Bad Desktop File

appimagetool fails because data/AM2R.AppDir/AM2R.desktop is not a valid desktop file.

Workaround: Replace it with AM2R.desktop from data/AM2R.AppDir/usr/share/applications/ which is a valid desktop file. Not sure if this is the intended content for that file, but at least the appimage builds.

That's weird. data/AM2R.AppDir/AM2R.desktop is a symlink to data/AM2R.AppDir/usr/share/applications/AM2R.desktop and thus should work.

How are you invoking the patcher out of curiosity?

I think I found the root of it: If I use git clone to download the repo, then data/AM2R.AppDir/AM2R.desktop is a symlink, and all is good. But if I use "Download ZIP," then I get a plain text file with the content usr/share/applications/AM2R.desktop, which is not a valid desktop file, so appimagetool fails. I'm guessing that github's zip creation process is eating the symlink.

I suppose possible solutions include:

1. Put the actual desktop file there rather than a symlink.
2. Put nothing there and generate the symlink at runtime.
3. Update the readme to explain this issue and to suggest always using git clone.
