Overview

Project Name: Shadows

Purpose: Shadows is an open-source project dedicated to documenting, hashing, and preserving videos and related media that showcase the horrifying events related to Hamas on the 7th of October. By leveraging blockchain technology and the IPFS protocol, the project ensures the authenticity and immutability of these records, safeguarding them from potential future disputes or misrepresentations. This initiative serves as a tool to help verify the validity of the gruesome acts that transpired.

Features

  • Video Link Aggregation: Collect links to all relevant videos from various sources.

  • Version Control: Maintain a repository of all versions of each video.

  • Hashing: Generate and store unique hashes for each video, ensuring their originality.

  • NFT Sealing: Convert each hashed video into a Non-Fungible Token (NFT) for additional verification and historical validation.

  • IPFS Integration: Store each video's InterPlanetary File System (IPFS) hash, ensuring decentralized and long-term storage.

Getting Started

Prerequisites

  • Node.js
  • IPFS installation
  • Ethereum wallet (for NFT creation)

Installation

  1. Clone the repository:

Contribution Fork the repository. Create a new feature branch. Commit your changes. Push the branch to your fork. Create a pull request. Usage Guidelines Only submit videos that are relevant to the events of the 7th of October involving Hamas.

Ensure that the videos are of genuine origin. Any submission found to be misleading or modified will be removed.

Respect the purpose of this project. The intent is to maintain an objective record, and any attempts to manipulate or misrepresent information will not be tolerated.
